Swarm features a sound device and artwork created by my son at Camp Galileo during the summer of 2013. The swarm noise maker is fashioned from paper, balsa wood, rubber bands, and wooden spacers. A string is attached to a corner and the device is swung around in a circle to create the sounds. It makes various buzzing sounds depending on how fast you go and the length of the string you let out. I stood in front of a stereo mic and recorded a variety of swarm sounds and put them together in a short composition.
